I am 51 years old, and am on treatment for Hepatitis C. The treatment has a lot of side effects and my activities are restricted. I was approved for disability recently, but prior to that I had lost my job due to my illness impacting my work performance. I have gone through all my savings including my 401k. My issue now is I need to move to a smakker more affordable apartment. The place I'm in now costs 75 % of my income! I'm behind in rent by a month and a half. I have found a few nice apartments I can afford but I need to find a way to pay off my current landlord and pay someone to move me. Once I'm moved I would be able to repay a loan, in small increments, of course. I was a Social worker before I got sick and believe me I have checked every possible resource in this city and there's nothing for someone in my particular situation. I would hope to be able to help someone else out in some way in the future.

I don't know where to begin with my situation nor how much I should type to stress the need that I am in.   I have been living in my apartment going on 6yrs. I recently lost my 2yr job back in January. Since then I have been job hunting with zero luck. My rent is 1163.00 a month. My mother has been helping me as much as she can. I have sold any and eveything in my apartment as well. Now some may say I need to just down grade and move out since I am no longer working. But that takes money as well. So I rather just try my hardest to keep what I have. I have FAITH God will bring me through.

Out of the 6yrs I have been living here they have never had to file eviction on me til this month. I am very scared because I have no idea what is next for me. No, I don't have any kids nor no really sad story to tell. I have been truly blessed and have been able to substain my current situation very well. I am just looking for help from someone that can understand my current situation and know I will pay them back as soon as I get on my feet.

Sometimes in life we all hit rock bottom to where we need a helping hand, this is my time. I promise to God and myself once I am out of this I will always be that helping hand every month to 1 person in need.

I am not good at asking for help but my daughter told me of this site and I had to try, for my

family, last Dec, my husband got laid off work and is not been able to find work yet, my dad

got sick ended up having surgery and lost his home and moved in with us but we have got

so far behind on our rent because tring to keep up with all the other bills,as well as taking care of my dads needs. now we are losing our home and I cant let that happen I cant let my dad lose another home.before he moved into the trailer he lost the house I grew up in. the house he owned for 40 years, he lost it because of 800.00 behind on morgage, then he moved into a trailer

that was not worth 100.00 now he lost it because of a park that took him for a ride for 150.00

I have to pay our rent I cant lose this place too.if we can just catch up then we can handle

the rent and other bills but this way we rub peter to pay paul. please can you help.thank you

Hello everyone. I am currently $1,100 behind on my rent because I lost my job last year and have enhausted my unemployment benefits and am now behind. I pay $300 a month when I have it, but I have not had it in 4 months and I have a great landlord who understands, but he is in need of his money and has told me that if I do not get the money by the end of the month, July, I will have to move my family. We have no place to go right now. I have 2 small children and all of the apartment complexes here will charge atleast $350 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment and I have to pay my own utilities. I just do not know what to do.

I know a good family who needs a little help.  Both parents work but this month fell short on rent because a new puppy that they took in had hookworms.  In order to save the puppie's life they had to fork out $180.00 in vet bills.  They did that but are now behind on rent.  They have 2 kids and one happens to be a friend of my son.  I am a teacher, am honest, but can't help them at the moment.  THEY DID NOT ASK FOR HELP.  MY SON JUST TOLD ME THEY WERE STRUGGLING THIS MONTH.  I really wish someone could make a small donation as they are very nice, proud people.

Hello, I am a single mother of 3(ages 3,9,11), I work full time and am also a full time student. I am looking for assistance in paying back rent to avoid eviction.  I like many others am living check to check. I missed a few weeks of work being out with my son during his surgery and needless to say I fell behind on my bills. I am slowly getting the utilities caught up but desperately need help with the rent.  I am behind $1840 and any contributions would help, whether .50 cents, $1, $5 every little bit would be appreciated.  I am even willing to set up a payment plan to pay it back if need be. No money has to ever touch my hands, I can give you the name, address and phone number to my apartment rental company. I have been to local charities who tell me my income is too high to qualify for assistance and my church can't help with the funds either. It's funny how my job is the one thing stopping me from getting assistance.  If I had no income then the local places would assist me. My mother is no longer living and my father is pretty much in a similar situation as he was just layed off and his wife is carrying all of their bills on a smaller income than mine. Again, I would be extremely grateful for anything someone could bless me with. Thanks!

If anyone is having trouble paying rent this program may help you. depending on your income they will help ypu pay half or even all of your rent a month. it is worth checking out. good luck and let me know if this helps anyone.

I NEED JUST A LITTLE BIT OF HELP. MY MOTHER WHO IS 73 YEARS OLD HAS CANCER OF THE BRAIN AND LUNGS. WE JUST LEARN OF THIS JUNE 08. SHE HAD SURGERY TO REMOVE IT FROM THE BRAIN AND NOW WE ARE TAKING TREATMENT TO THE LUNGS.NO CHEMO NOT STRONG ENOUGH. BUT ANYWAY I HAVE MISSED A LOT OF WORK DUE TO THIS .ALL  I NEED IS MY RENT PAYED I AM 2 MONTHS LATE. MY LANDLORD HAS BEEN REAL GOOD TO ME. Hi my name is Adrian. I am eighteen years old. I recently moved to San Jose California from Albuquerque New Mexico. For most of my child hood life my mother was and still is disabled. When I was five my step dad and her were arguing he was drunk and she didnt want to be around him. One thing led to another and she ended up at the bottom of our staircase with two slipped discs. Since then she has developed fibromialgia. She was once a nurse. Now she lives in New Mexico with my two younger brothers and my seven year old sister. She is on didability and only makes 1200 dollars a month. Even though my mother could use some help she is not the reason I am where I am today. I live on my own here in San Jose trying to go to school. I just cant seem to make rent or pay for any food. Work is slim and Ive got noone to help me. I have lived in San Jose for a little over six months. I am trying to do this on my own.I do not want to ask my mom for much because i know that she doesnt have much to give. Rent is 600 dollars a month, and I am two months behind. I have no food and no money. i have been eating whatever i can get from a food bank at a church next to the neighborhood that i live in. All I really need is a small push. I know that I can make it work. The economy is bad and cant find a descent job anywhere. I am willing to work anywhere. I am a minority single mother recovering from an abusive relationship after loosing everything. I am seriously in need of some financial help to support my children. Right now I am behind on my first months rent.  I would have no where to go if I get evicted. It is $786 plus $75 late fee. But that does not include water and electric bills. And my next rent is due in a couple of days. Just recently my car blew up, and the mechanic said it was unable to be fixed. I have to walk everywhere. I am also trying to start a business that will provide assistance to those trying to start a business or help those who have already started a business and are struggling. To make a long story short, I am seeking start up financial funding/assitance.

i am a mother of 3 great kids who needs some kind of transportation and school supplies, but when i get my next check it will all go to rent that is behind also cuz my ex-husband is a crack-headed alcoholic who just won't get it together.

My children are very nice and polite and always want the bare minimum and have never been to an amusement park or anything and still don't complain, my daughter has to share a tiny bedroom with her 2 brothers and even though this is illegal we know because of my credit any old house is out of the question.

my daughter is a 13 year old recent diagnosed epileptic whose dream is her own room, she's never had her own room cuz i've always worked and always made a few dollars too much for any welfare assistance or housing assistance and even though social services has had my husbands info and social security number for years they have never sent us anything.

If someone has an old automatic suv they are just tired of and maybe 200.00 for school supplies me and my kids would feel like it was heaven.  Thank you and God bless you.
